Memorial Service

Each year at St George's we hold a Memorial Service which gives people an opportunity to remember a loved one who has died, to give thanks again for their life and to remember our own need for comfort and help. I invite you, your family and friends to join us for this special occasion.

The service will be less than an hour long and will be followed by refreshments. There will be an act of remembrance – an opportunity to remember people by name before God. My hope is that this service will help you to bring your memories and feelings, both past and present, to God who is full of compassion and strength.

One of the people being remembered at this service is the late Mair Jones, a member of St George’s Church and a resident of Mount Street; her funeral takes place near Barmouth two days before this Memorial Service.

Some who come to this service will be recently bereaved. Others may be remembering someone who died many years ago. All are welcome; if you know people who might benefit from this service please do extend our invitation to them.
